Box Will Not Stay Still

I Got A Qlogic Box (single 10) That Will Not Stay In Place. It Has Actually Tilted Over Once. Being That The Trunk Floor In The 02 Is Not Flat, Can Anyone Tell Me How They Keep Their Box From Moving Around Without Bolting It Down.

Get some "L" brackets at Lowes or something. Then just drill the screws into the piece that covers the spare tire well. Mine has never moved eventhough it is just held in place with two screws in that piece of fiberboard.

That's exactly what I did, only I have a couple pieces of plywood down as a false floor. But it should work fine either way.

With my single q-logic 12" sub enclosure, the previous owner had like 4 pieces of 4"x4" blocks of velcro on various parts of the bottom of the box, and it actually grips pretty well to the trunk carpet and doesn't move at all. I have yet for it to fling around my trunk, also when I go to pick up the sub, the grip is so good, that the carpet lifts along with it. Just an idea for you to try.

Picture this, I put in Eminem's Encore at a red light, one of the first tracks starts up and the sub starts rumbling... I look back to see the sub actually roll over so that it went from sitting at the ski-hole facing the rear of the car to being at the back of the car facing the front. Damn I'm glad it wasn't damaged. But yeah, I'm in the same boat until I finish the trunk. I second the L-brackets as a cheap solution.

it's funny... my box doesn't move. But then agian the box is 40lbs, the sub weighs 45lbs, my amp weighs 15lbs: so about 100lbs. Does not move at ALL.

If you were to brake or turn hard enough it would move .

I've been using L brackets for years now, they work great.

Yup, L-brackets are the only way to go.

My Box moves a ton, like if I were to floor it after a light it would be at the back of the trunk. And my box is huge, 38w 16h 12d and most of the time it takes the carpet around for a ride aswell. The carpet will be bunched up at the edge of the trunk.

I guess I will have to look at that L-bracket but does anybody have an idea where I could hook it up to? My box is really big and I don't have MDF board under it becuase it doesn't fit.
