I just saw that as well. They said the sub weighed something like 329 or 389 pounds (can't remember right now). That is one crazy looking sub.

320 lbs 12,000w peak 6,000w rms..... HOLY CR@P... I saw this sub when it first came out but I didn't think anyone was crazy enough to put it in a car... I was wrong... Did you hear Xibit talking when the sub was pumping... they had to use subtitles....lol

I haven't caught this episode yet, but is it true that with all the amps and stuff this only hit 130? That's loud but not LOUD. Actually, you know what...thats really not that loud If the figure of 130 is incorrect I apologize. I'll be sure to check this episode out.

I like their ideas. Cool outlandish stuff. I wish there was one of those shows that was really about car audio.

Yes, I think they did mention something about 130 dbs on the episode which is crap. It should be in the 150s.

Although I +1 your comment on a car audio show...Im not holding my breath

i bet would've hit the same with half the amps, the electrical was not up to par- they added like 4 yellow tops and 4 caps and mentioned nothing about a HO alternator...voltage dropped in the 11v's and barely hit 130db

That must be MTXs answer to 18" Kickers Solo-X 10,000 watts peak, 5000 watts rms. The MTX Jackhammer has only 2000 extra watts peak and 1000 extra watts rms, 4" bigger and 220 lbs more than the Solo-X, but only puts out 20% more power. Seems like a waste of materials.

They had the db meter hooked up and I thought they were gonna hit in the 150 - 160db range with that huge @$$ sub.

the back was in the backseat of the car they used a steel brace that went from the floor of the car and volted to the back of the sub.
