I hope your right!

Cause I would love the new Max. I wonder if it will have a 5-speed? 275hp? nice. I did not think they would change the size yet.

I heard the new max is going to have a 342.662342 hp engine, 3.6643545 litres and a 12 speed manual tranny and it will run on ethanol and it will have dingle ***** like ghetto cabs.

Seriously I hope some of these rumors are true. The again considering that I probably couldn't trade my car in for jack I kind of hope they aren't true... :/

Oh but beware beloved Maxima enthusiasts - I know you are not supposed to believe everything you read but...the word I hear is that Nissan wants to make our secret sports car the Max more of a luxo ride and are in favor of juicing up the Altima, Sentra (i've seen pics and I like), and introducing the new Z. Yes, more power but going after a different market. This means the I30 will get upgraded to play with the big dogs of Lexus, BMW, Benzo, etc....

Let's just say....

...that we don't have to worry about the Maxima going the route of the Avalon. That's about all I can say.

That's good news. I hope you are right. But wow, why the sudden urge for Nissan to put out some worthy performers?

All I have to say is...

All you guys who already have Maximas that are all but 1-2 years old and getting all excited about trading it in already and getting the anticipated 2002. Where do you get the money for this? You get RAPED trading in cars, especially so new? I knew very well with my neurotic ways with cars that the minute I chose one, a better/nicer/faster/more luxurious one in my price range would come out. But that ALWAYS happens since cars come out every 6-12 months and are ALWAYS changing. There's nothing you can do because if you need a car but kept being indecisive because new ones keep coming out, we'd never get a car! Well, all I know is I'd like to have a link to your bank accounts....nuff said

I do agree with your statement about trading a vehicle, but I will be buying a new Max in addition to my 2k1. A vehicle is never a good investment. Being a automobile nut the bad investment is offset buy overpowering emotions which seem to offset the bad investment.
