My car is rattling!

I've got the floor and trunk lid sound deadened, but not the sides of the trunk.

I have a 15" Avalanche sub, and I can't turn it up that much because the trunk rattles alot. It realllyyyyy rattles. You can't hear it from outside but inside the rattling is crazy.

What are some common things in Maxima's that rattle and what can I do to fix them?

Could it be the rear torsion bar? Could it be parts on the side of the trunk?

Could it even be my amp rattling on the sub box it's attached to?

Should I face the sub towards the cabin with the armrest down? Help

Should I turn the sob box around to face the cabin? How do you have yours set up?

No face the sub toward the back(taillights) becuase it will give you more "boom" and if you face it the other way youll get bass that doesn't sound as good into the cabin...
PS how many watts you running???

if you face it into the cabin, the bass will sound a little tighter. try and see if ya like it, though it won't get rid of your rattles.

i'd sound deaden your rear deck.

***BZZZZZZ*** WRONG!!! I would simply LOVE to hear your justification of this theory, should you have the audacity to expound upon it. I prefer a sub that faces towards the cabin, of which produces my desired audible effects. SQ is purley subjective, so I would advocate AGAINST suggesting how one should face their subs.

i'd usually suggest people to try both, and see which they like best.

A few posts from this threat may help

depending on how bad your problem is, how **** you are about it, thus what you're willing to do to get the job done.

I prefer free-air subs. I like to have the bass surround me in my car. I don't want it going anywhere but into my cabin. =)
