audio adapter - mp3

Just checking, has any company made any adapter that connects from OEM audio unit to any mp3 player yet?

I would assume that it is only as good as the FM tuner within the HU itself.

I know that Pioneer has one for the ipod into your headunit. You can control all your ipod controls with your head unit.

It's better to hardwire it than to use the FM transmitter. I got the itrip, and it's horrible...our radio dial is so packed up in NYC, that its hard for the BOSE unit to keep a blank station. I'd go with the tape deck adapter or hardwiring it. There was a thread a while back about someone who hardwired some connectors to his stock headunit.

No, just the fronts. But they're super tight and don't feel cheezy.

I saw a JVC unit with an aux in, but is there something out there a bit classier? And how would it fit because my bose deck in the 2k GLE is a different shape?
