Of those two I would choose the Kappa's. If you are restricted as far as budget goes. The cdt's are awesome.

Elemental designs edi6500, there are the same thing as the CDT HD series and are much cheaper. I actually got mine on pre-order last winter fro 250 and they are absolutely amazing. I have 200 watts a side from a soundstream van gogh and the are absolutely stunning. If your budget is not around there, then go for the edi 6000. they are on sale right now for 125 and will blow both of your alpine and kappa choises away. Trust me on this one.....

Speaking of which. Call Don and see what he can do for you.

Never heard any ED products. Hope to some day. Especially if they are as good as you say they are. What characteritics do they have? Bright, warm, lots of midbass? What kind of music do you listen to on them? I wonder why noone carries them where I live.

yeo Chris thats the model #...the EDi's are very very similar. IMO go with CDT because CDT never claims to use ED parts.

i would get the Infinity..... maybe look into the Rockford Power. I prefer to not buy from an internet manufacturer and have direct support and warranty exchange.

f550, Now I know you have never heard the ED comps, but let me give you a heads up, the Ed comps are 98% the same animal as the CDT comps which are very highly regarded. You are getting filet mignon for hamburger prices. If you go to fry's, you WILL be getting an inferior product. And if you like it loud, the ED's will NOT let you down. I push a TRUE 200WPC RMS to each side, yes- thats a 400 watt front stage and these things handle it with absolute ease. I have had alpine's, MB's, which btw all cost more than the Ed's. Think of the ED's (Really rebadged CDT's) as the hottest chick you know, and the infinties as your average girl. Yes, they are both Fuc@ble, but wouldnt you want the hotter one? I dunno man. BTW, EVERY speaker will sound better when you dampen those doors up. good luck. I am just trying to save you the headache that I went through going through countless sets of comps.

Any good place/reference to buy CDTs? How much do they run for? How is Clif Designs compared to CDTs?

Glad you like it. But the last of the great ones IMO were the References/RubiconI's...

f550...you are kind of all over the place...I strongly recommend picking up a yellow book or even search on dealer locators to see if you can at least see/hear some stuff on a sound board(beats buying based on other peoples tastes) If you haven't noticed everyone claims how great their stuff is...
