ok heres the deal i'm thinking of purchasing this alarm system, nothing special just something to open my doors and start my car, i've found this one, http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...cation.do#tabs
now i'm not an expert by any means in the quality of these systems, but i was wondering what everybody opinion is, again i dont want anything fancy these options are more than enough for me.

also i would like to know what the level of difficulty (particularly for my 3rdgen)for an install is, i'm not a fan of have other places work on my car considering some of the chop jobs i've seen, so i would like to install it myself, i've already found the schematics for my car in the stickies so i was wondering if there is anything else i should look for or know.

As long as you have the wiring diagrams and the right tools you should be fine. It is a decent starter alarm. If you have alot of mods(flashy mods like bodykit,wheels,loud stereo,etc) on the car I would suggest an alarm with a pager on it instead.

 

Honestly if you have never installed an alarm chances are your install will be no different than the chop shops. My 1st one was on a BMW 635 CSI. It was a mess. It worked though.
