Subwoofer Problems ....

Hey guys i just installed my set up and made a custom enclosure. I made my Own box to kicker Specs and its only hitting hard at 15 any other levels its not its being powered by a Phoneix gold amp , Sub Rms is 400 its it being fed 250 Rms but it should still hit wayy louder any ideas, Im guessing the Box is leaking air?

it could be but how big is the box, what type, and what sub? 250 watts in a 2k2 with the seats up in a sealed box will not be loud at all IMO.

Come on man. Brush up that grammar a little bit. I'm not sure if thats a question or statement. Sorry, just trying to get ready for school myself

gains matching the HU's signal? Amp's power (all amps rated at 250 don't put out 250....) Could be any of these. Try flipping the phase.

Just how loud it gets when the head unit get's to a certain point can't be the sole indication of what's going with it.

you need to match that to the h/u volume and the mids and highs...its the gain ****. do not turn it all the way up. adjust the volume until you reach the volume your mids/highs can handle. then turn the gain up on that volume until you hear audible distortion...then turn it down some.
