Need help determining what type of JL I have

I just bought 2 JL audio 8 inch subs but I don't know what kind they are. They both are dual voice coil and have 2 magnets stacked on each other. I got them for $20 each so I'm pretty sure I got a good deal no matter what they are. any help would be much appreciated.

Myth. You can make a pair sound great. 3 would have abit more output with the correct wiring and amp combo though.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what kind of amp I should use to power them? I currently have a 6 channel Kicker IX406, thats only 40 watts rms per channel and only 2 of the channels are for subs, but this is what I used to push 2 12" kicker comps and it sounded good. I'm sure it would have sounded better with a bigger amp, though

Try the 6 channel first then see if you really need something bigger.

they are dual 6 ohm speakers, right?
okay, so each parallel load is 3 ohms..
i think wired parallel, all three will be about a .75 ohm load? or no, a 1 ohm load
so each is about 300w RMS? get a reputable amp stable at 1 ohm mono.
but first try out that 6 ch like nismos said..

He's got 2 subs not 3. So two of them wired down from 6 ohms would be ~1.5 ohms.
