what are my wiring/amp options?

ive got a nakamichi sp-w1000d, dual voice coil 2x6ohms. im not too good with ohm conversions and wiring on dvc subs so a little help would be appreciated. there isn't a way to knock this to 1 ohm, without purchasing a second i am sure. it would be nice to grab a mono amp, or maybe a five ch with a 75x4 + 400wx1 channel. any ideas?

Well you have two options, either 3 Ohms or 12 Ohms. I actually have 3 DVC 6 Ohm subs that I have wired in parallel and series to bring down to 4 Ohms. You will probably get away with wiring it in Parallel and it will be somewhere close to 4 or 2 ohms, its usually not exactly 3 ohms. Then get a MONO amp that is good down to 2 ohms. I think this is your best choise given the situation.
