gettin ugly
I'm doing this to both sides, just want to do it. It will look tight when it's done.
and no those stains bhind the enclosure is not resin, I always wanted to cover those and they were a little motivation.

Ahhhh, young Jedi...you have much to learn. Again, it a good first start, but that simply will not do.
Ok, the first problem that I see is that you did not use an MDF ring, but instead made a template out of MDF with a hole in it.
The second problem is that you used resin up to and PAST where the fleece was glued to the fg frame.
Third, that will never look good, no matter how much you doctor it.
Forth, you need to aim that INTO the middle of the trunk...your bass is just going to bounce off the opposite side as is. That enclouse = no bass.
Ok, you need to start over, but try this next time:
(1) Make your MDF template and cut to size.
(2) Using dowels and an MDF ring, aim the ring where you want it and secure using glue.
(3) Wrap the enclosure in fleece, and glue to the fg base.
(4) Fully coat in resin UP TO the glue.
(5) Cut out the cured fleece around the ring
(6) Sand and complete.
It's a good start, man...dont' get discouraged, you can do this!!! If you need an MDF ring, check the thread a few pages down.

I live in NE..
Metal, trust me, it sounds good, I mount the woofer inverted(facing in), and it shakes my front seatbelt buckles with just 1 woofer..! I wish you could hear it so you can believe it.
I didn't use fleece or glue, just used wood from an older dual ported enclosure I made last year that weighed a TON, and simply just cut to size. The fleece was actaully a radio shaft jersey that I got when I worked there a few years ago.
I know that I have alot to learn, Obi Wan lol.

I believe you about the box, it looks pretty solid, and as long as it is totally sealed you are good to go, it looks thick enough, just not cosmetically appealing, but if this is your first time you are on your way. Fiberglass is about trial and error sometimes. You think you can do something, then gravity, and resined chop mat will defy you. You can also get more bass by adding some polyfill inside the box. Anyone wanting to fiberglass I highly recommend the how to dvds they sell on eBay (v5.1 and 6.0), they teach you all kinds of tips and tricks.
This turned out way better than the first one I tried without watching the videos throughly.

I have to agree with the sub mounted that way. I have had two setups with the sub in that location facing that way as well and they both sounded REALLY nice. I don't doubt that they may sound better facing different ways but thats personal taste/opinion as far as how you want it to sound.
