Does anyone have a how-to for this unit? I have installed it but i didint hook up the 10 pin sat connector cause I saw no place for it. It also states that if its prewired you wont need to use it. just checking cause when i press sat it says No Sat. I dont have my dvd player yet is that the reason that it says no sat for not receiving a signal. If anyone knows how to install the AAI-NIS its greatly appreciated.

 

If they removed the SAT plug from the HU like people discussed in the 6th gen forum, then using the AAI-NIS won't work.

The pre-wiring is not even the issue, it's the plug in the control unit that you need. The PAC unit fakes out the car into thinking the SAT module is in the back (when you press the SAT button), so if you don't hook it up then it knows that there's no module.

It's a shame that Nissan had to go that route though... but I guess they figured there wasn't a lot of demand from owners that got the unit installed after purchasing, so they just dropped it altogether from the car (which only means it's gonna be more expensive to install later on ).

Not sure what your options are... I don't know if you can cannibalize the HU from a junked 04-05 car and swap it. I'm sure somebody's working on an option to provide aux input to the 06s though. What's weird is that nowadays every car manufacturer is coming up with ways to ADD this to cars (for ipods and other crap) and here goes Nissan and removes it from theirs. Granted, that wasn't the way they intended for the SAT plug to be used, but still...

not from what I read. from 2004-present if you have the bose with sat button then you're SOL until someone comes up with something to integrate it.
