Best System

Ive been through a set of 6x3/4 in Pioneer 3 ways and now I have a set-up of Alpine Type-R 6x3/4 2 ways. And Im not quite happy with that either, Im thinkin of just goin all out on the system. I just wanted to know what you guys recommend for the best system. Im not to familiar with audio equipment but I would like to know what all I would need to have a very nice crisp sounding system with awesome sound quality. Right now I have 2 Alpine Type-R 12's running off a MB Quart 1000 watt amp (500 to each speaker). Im happy with it but I just purchased 2 15" MB Quart amps. that will be all I need for bass now I just want a good set of components that have really good sound quality. Also if you could tell me what kind of crossovers youre using or equalizers. Thanks alot.

Well, if you're looking for a system with some greatsound quality, I'm sure we will be able to make some suggestions for ya!

The first question that will ultimatley determine what people would suggest is, what kind of money are you looking to spend? Anything from the Rainbow line would suit you quite nicely, and a 3-way setup will certainley give you what you are looking for.

Your question is kind of vauge, though...are you looking for system suggestions, or just speaker/x-over/amp suggestions?

PS - I've never heard of a 15" MB Quart amp before.

Dan, Parag....You people are no fun, you both caught the 15" amp thing before me....

Dragon, you need to supply us with a bit more info..music genre, how loud are you trying to be, warmth, harshness, etc. The term is "best" is way to subjective to each persons ears to ever have a truely correct answer for this question. Many people may be more than pleased with what you already have. With that in mind supply a bit more info and a budget and we can make alot of recomendations based on that.

Man, don't forget he has TWO of them!!! That's 30" of power, baby!!!

I wonder what they're good for? Last I checked they could safely run 4 yardsticks in mono.

Techincally I think you're wrong. If my calc. is correct 15" amps x 2 = 8 yardsticks mono and 16 yardsticks stereo

Damn, I musta been looking at the birthsheet of an older one. Too bad the efficency is only 60%...he's only getting 9" per amp.

Lol...sorry guys, I have an MBQuart amp and 2 15" MBQuart Subs Im gonna install that I have in my room. I think I will be satisfied with the Amp/Sub combo, but I would like to get better speakers in the car itself. I want speakers that will play loud and handle reasonable power. I want strong speakers that wont blow. I want them to have a very clear sound quality when playing high and I want the music while playing loud to be very clear and defined, just really good sound quality. It will probably be a little while before I get the items so the $700 range isnt unreasonable for the speakers.I would also like a recommendation of a good crossover and equalizer for the speakers (Im not to familiar with these components though). On a side note I was thinkin of replacing my Alpine head unit, Ive had it for about 3-4yrs now. I want a motorized LCD Head unit. Nothing smaller than 6.5". Any recommendations. Thanks for all the help, I know you guys know what is the best stuff for my money, thanks.

Well, some Rainbow 3-ways would suit you just fine then.
