factory car alarm

At what point, IF ANY, would the factory alarm be triggered if you were to try to break in.....would the alarm go off if you break a window, the door handle, *** with the car for a while, and try to break into the trunk? The only time my alarm goes off is if someone unlocks my doors from the inside and opens the door.....i ask this because there has been alot of cases in my town about people getting their systems stolen and cars broken into...thanks guys

for your car, its only the driver side door, and trunk button

try it, just roll all your windows down, wait 30 sec. after you armed the car or locked the door and try it.

its b.s.

I asked this question before about adding an impact sensor, or glass breakage sensor to the factory nissan alarm and the response that I got was NOTHING, no replies, not a one ... well I found out at the12volt.com that it is possible to add any sensor to the factory alarm. Take a look over there if that's what your interested in doing. They have a lot of infor about security stuff there.

I didn't test with the trunk, but shut off the car with the windows down, and after like 30 seconds, try unlocking a door by pulling the **** and then open the door, you should hear a not-so-nice sound

on my 92 gxe it works on all doors (if the switches that light up the car works)

Sounds like you have alot of problems with your alarm. It would most definately go off if connected properly.

: ( prolly cuz when i open the trunk nothing happens. It never did that on my 95 that i had either. But maybe i just have badluck with alarms :\. Also pearlmax did you think of anything else that couldve shut off my car while i was driving. I went up to the place they cant figure it out they said it could be the "Tach" wire that connects to the ecu. I dont understand the car works fine when i unplug the alarm brain it self
