So what do you all recommend? (Amp engine whine issue)
Hey all. I still have the same alternator whine that's existed since I put in my system in my max, and just recently. I tried almost everything, i changed my ground from the seatbelt bolt to the sparewheel well, then I even held the high-low converters and the amp in the air, but still get whine. Before I do the Big 3, or change my amp all together, I was wondering what the possibilities are of fixing my problem by putting in better high-low converters, as the current ones I am using are dinky little free converters that came with my amplifier for free. I was also wondering if ground loop isolators like this one is worth a try, or just a temporary fix? What are some trusted high-low converters (hooking it up to a 4 channel amp), I am willing to go with two converters, or one all together, like this.
Thanks all for whatever help :-D.

Isolate the rcas and the power wires, are they running on different sides of the vehicle? Do you cross your RCA over the fuel pump? These can both reduce or eliminate noise.
Skip over these (IE youve already ran your wires and dont want to redo it), ground your rca's. The rcas at the trunk you ground the other ring to the chassis of the amplifier. IE you bend a small length of wire like an L and put it in the outer ring of the signal rca (MALE) {dont allow it to touch the center pin!!!} and insert it into the female plug on the amp. The other end of the wire you ground to the chassis of the amplifier (Use one of the small screws and loop it) do the same at the radio and this should cut it out completely.
