Need to put stock Bose back in
Need to put stock Bose back in
I have no idea how any of this works. I looked inside the dash and this is all that is there now, that I can see:

Back of HU looks like this as many of you know:

What are these other ports are they necessary for connection. Is there a powered antenna that I'm missing?

Yes, that would be the round one. You will be using all 4 of the rect. ports IFF you can a cd changer, otherwise just the two black and one white one will be used. Just find the OEM harness that everything runs off of; they should all be taped together for conveinece.

Check to see if the antenna connector is split anywhere. The installer who put in the aftermarket radio may have used an adapter on it. Just remove that adapter... -otherwise- if he somehow spliced that connector on, there are backwards adapters (I saw one on ebay when i was shopping for my nav unit). Those will take the standard plug(what's in your picture) back to the Nissan OEM plug.

I'm thinking about spending the rest of my savings on a D1! Good idea?!
I don't know but if I do I will certainly endorse it on the plan and install an alarm. Thanks again.

I posted a thread in the 5th gen forum about my car getting broken into. That is the only part of the AVIC-N1 that they didn't steal. I'm an idiot and didn't insure it so I'm kicking myself right now.

You should double check with your auto insurance policy. When I had progressive they had an allowance for $1,000 coverage on mods for free. Your
When I switched to geico, I told them that I had a nav system that was worth $950. (I paid ~$1,100 for it, and figured in the future i could get it for significantly less). It didn't increase my premium!

I didn't tell Geico on it and the claims adjuster who I spoke to two days ago told me that in order for something more than $500 to be covered I would have had to mentioned it on the policy. I never did. I'm thinking spending a considerable amount of money for a D1 now and getting an alarm. You like yours right?
Yeah, the D1 is great. Just tell your insurance company about it this time!
