Don, Manny, and anyone else with experience with mounting locations with Rainbows in 5th gens.

Should I take the tweeter out of the A-pillar and put it in the door? What do you guys think?

tough call...i ended up hacking my sails ( not bad two small holes, easily filled and refinished if u ever wanna change) for the ACS tweet (similar)
I dont like the a-pillar whatsoever in our cars...thats just me. I looooved it in the sails, more so than where i have my Cal27's now on the door. Keep in mind once you hack the door panels, no turning back.
I love the idea of the sails if those come with angle mounts-angle each to opposite side and look forward to a center stage with warm highs that'll massage your ears...hehe

The do sound kick *** in the doors and look so flush mounted ala 4th gen style...

Its a large silk dome you will get awesome off axis wherever you put it. I like them a little closer to the ears. Door mounting will keep all your wiring consistent and you can run fresh wire directly to them quite easy.

Just keep in mind that if they will be pretty far from the mids, Don and i realized reversing the polarity helped alot in integration w/ mid.

Hrmm, awesome. Do you have any pics of door mounted and sail mounted tweetes. Just to get the juices flowing? I have not problem mounting them in the doors as I will keep one set of the current components to fill the holes if I ever get rid of the car.

Not sure if these come with angle mounts. I will just have to find out.

So you guys reversed the polarity of just the tweets when they were located in the doors? Interesting.
