1 15 will hit harder than 2 10's. so pick a 15 for "hard hitting".

As much as I hate to admit it, a JL10W7 is probably is your hardest hitting 10 out there.

hm...go ported then if you want hard hitting even if it takes up space. otherwise unless its a dub7 or RE XXX 10 with about 500 watts on it sealed, you will not enjoy that hard hitting bass.

i know that dr max here on the org has 1 10' sub that is a roksforgd fosgate hx2 (rf2210 or something) and it does 500 watts rms...in a 1 inch sealed custom non-flex mdf box..and it hits so hard..when he turns his HU up to 3/4 i feel the snot in my nostrils coming out..also my eyes start to tear..its literally insane bass without ANY distortion. I dunno if you can find a new one..but i know there are used ones out there.

i've never heard more bass out of a single sealed 10" than my brothers Fusion Jonah Lomu 10", has about 400 rms on it

I have the 10" HX2 predecessor, the DVC's and they HIT HARD. I also would look at JL10W7, Kicker 10" L7, or the RF T2

+1 on the W710. Def go ported. Give it 800-1000watts. Also add the RE XXX. An excelent alternative.

The DVC's are beast of subs if you can get ahold on one that hasnt been abused youll be happy. I had four of the twelves in my last car ahhh the memories.... Ended up blowing the trunk latch and killing all four woofers...seriously. The hx2s are good as well but power hungry.

I'd suggest the JL 10W7. Mine hits nice and hard.
