Phasing

How do you know when your speakers are out of phase? Is it something you can easily pick up? How does it affect your soundstage?

Depends on what frequencies are being played. You def can tell though. Especially the lower you go.

Other than cancelling out the specific frequencies being played by the opposite drive, I don't know that it has any other effect. I will let the big dogs handle that one.

basically if u stick ur head between the two speakers the sound will be hard for ur ears to centralize when they are out of phase.. when in phase it will sound like equal...

Changing the phase of the speaker can also work when adjusting the soundstage, so it does indeed servre an intended purpose.

its something that you have to try...I was told by a few competitors that simply wiring ONE of the midbasses out of phase works for them....Remember, the sound should be judged from the drivers seat-in that position each speakers pathlengths and phasing affect the perceived stage...
