Not sure if youll find anyworth youre time for that price, from what ive read you should look for one that is at least 12 bands. Audiocontrol brand is good, but expensive. Ive also been thinkin about gettin one but im not sure if it would make a difference to spend the money, the pioneers are the nicest lookin ones ive seen for in dash.

I got a used Pioneer 7600 I'll let go for that amount. A little scratched and the subout doesn't work, everything else does though. It's a good eq.

Audiocontrol is good but you need 2 of them because they are 30 band monos. I did happen to pick up a used one of ebay for about $30 with cosmetic flaws.

that would be an eqt that is single band with 1/3 octave control. If he goes with the eqx hell be able to control a whole slew of stuff (IE half octave, and xover for high low, mid) EQX

the control makes all kinds of stuff from the old eqts, the eqls, eqx and the dash mounted 3.1 and 4.1 to epicenter. They are one of the most complete lines out for equalization at a decent price.

Thanks for reminding me, I have an EQX collecting dust with no use for it. As well as a Phoenix Gold 215iX. Both available for sale...

Don,
What other stuff do you have for sale? I am looking for a 10" sub or possibly two. I am located in New Jersey, do you have a shop?

I'm a big fan of 1/2 din quasi parametric eqs w/ *****...a reach away from making your adjustments on the fly

The Arc units are nice. Eclipse and Clarion I believe had some as well.

Your budget is low tho...and flea bay not the most promising as its its the easiest avenue for some to dump noise plagued units.

eclipse 8101
pioneer also makes a half din unit that isnt bad
audio control 3.1 or 4.1 are also half din

PPI also made a nice unit that was half din.

all of these should be on the bay for around 75-100

Hmmm. I have to admit I've never looked into any of these. Can you tell me about quasi parametric???? How quasi and how parametric???? I'm guessing as analog units, not parametric enough to powerfully be used on a single set of speakers (I'm thinking midrange/midbass). Adjustable Q????????

You know I'm WAYS away from this now, but if a few lil half dins would serve the purpose, it would be cool for final tweaking of my system incase I run out of EQ power...for the final final final tweaks. It would be cool to have lil in dash units that have a few extra parametric bands, like one on midbass one on midrange Thad'd be cool. You know Bob G has his DRZ running to an Alpine combo, though I'd rather keep the rest of my signal analog. Not sure if I'd ever really do it, but well who knows it's nice to dream

Whoa...and whats up with that DXE? That looks like a nice unit. Is it pricey? That looks like an option for three way front depending on how good it works, but it looks like a cool product and is from ARC.

Processing has seen a lot of additions in the past few years, and thank goodness. More processing options are making 3 way frontstages cheaper and cheaper by the year. I hope it keeps up.

Oh, my last thoughts on processing since I've gone off on some tangent. The EQX is a good buy for this guys purposes, and I'd love to have a pair of Zap 30's in the dash. DAMN SYMBALINK!!!!!

you can get around the symbilink it was a standard cpu cable. i hade one of the balanced line transmitters and an ag amplifier, and my cpu guy pointed this out. Long as you get the balanced transmitter your good to go.
