they are half germanshepard/rottweiler and we are training them as dogs that guard the house...we had a break in so its about that time we do something about it... ...but they are still nice...they already know attack, stop, jump, beg, sit, food, quiet, (we are teaching them bark as we speak..but that one is tricky) and yeah i know this is WAY

don't most spade connectors defeat the purpose of heavy gauge wire?

spade connectors shouldn't pose a problem. they come in assorted sizes for different wire gauges.

Spade connectors usually won't restrict current flow, even if the end (spade part) looks alot smaller than your wire. For example, the fusible element, metal part that burns out in large fuses (i.e., 150a), looks ALOT smaller than the wire going to and from the fuse. It doesn't matter that it's small in diameter because the fusible element is VERY short. The shorter a wire is, the less resistance it has. So you can use small, short wire to supply the same amount of current as large, long wire (depending on awg and length). Basically, if you have two wires of the same awg, one is 1ft long and the other one is 10ft long, the shorter wire will be able to supply more current.

BTW, I forgot to compliment on your new arc amp.

Looks really nice. Bet that's plenty of power for the 15.
