Battery Terminal ? (I-30 specific)
Battery Terminal ? (I-30 specific)
Hey Guys - quick question....I am currently installing 2 new amps in my car (2000 I-30) and I also want to do the Big 3 upgrade in the process. I'm thinking of buying new batt terminals (stinger expert series) both (+) and (-) sides. Here's my question....on the left side of the battery there is a fuse which connects directly into the factory positive battery cable. Anyone know what this is?
FYI - From what I can tell, the this is something which is unique to the I30 - 5th Gens didn't come with this fuse on the left side of the battery.
Also, has anyone replaced the (-) cable completely? If so, please let me know if there is a write up available. Basically, I am looking to do something like this: http://memimage.cardomain.net/membe...5185_3_full.jpg
Thanks 4 the help!

Ok...took a look at the FSM and as far as I can tell this fuse block is on the alt charging wire. I am trying to complete my Big 3 upgrade and all I have left is the alt to batt upgrade....has anyone worked around this fuse block? Any pics? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
