Check this out! I couldn't believe my eyes!

Anybody know if they're a good manufacturer? Man I bet having a front-stage system with 4 (FOUR!) frequency ranges would sound incredible!

Its a 3 way set with the upstage system. That can be added to alot of sets.

Looking at it, I'm going to guess an extra tweeter to put up high and help bring up the soundstage?

Shouldn't be necessary if all your other ducks are in a row. More speakers sounds like a nightmare to me. And the price? I'm not feeling that either. CDT is a good manufacturer, but not that good IMO to warrant that price tag. Heck, if I had my way, and the space, I'd drop down to 2 ways in the front....horns and a nice 12" pro audio driver in kicks. Not feasable in a Maxima. But remember, for real SQ, more speakers aren't always better. We use three ways to get midrange in the kicks and add efficiency, not because more speakers are inherently better. 4 way would have to be hard to achieve "point source" imaging out of.

When I see new car commercials that brag about 10 and 11 speaker stereo systems it makes me cringe....unless 4 to 6 of the speakers are subs, I'm not feeling it.

right, i wasn't implying that more speakers are better. I know that already. And I also know that for the best sound quality, all the drivers (one for each frequency range on right and left) should be in front of your ears. I just thought that this 4-way CDT setup represents 4 different frequency ranges. If it doesn't, then I stand corrected.
