I have a quick question about subwoofer ergonomics

I have a 4th. gen. I don't know about other gens but mine has an opening in the rear seats where it folds out to become an armrest. Well, I was wondering if it's plausible to put a 10" sub from the trunk facing the front of the car. That way it can be visible when the armrest is opened. It looks pretty neat, but is it ruining the sound waves when turned on?

it is plausible..when doing this you usually want to seal the woofer to keep all of the sound directly going forward. To achieve this you can seal the woofer and fire it IB much like BBoyStevie is doing, just forward instead of up like his 12s. so in a word it is possible, just requires some work to do it properly...

I always found mounting the sub toward the rear and placing it as far back in the trunk as possible is best for hearing low frequency sounds.--Then again it was a hatch.
