CDs to demo your system

Well I wanted to find out what everyone uses to demo their systems with. Right now I'm using:

Eagles "Hells Freezes Over"
IASCA "SQ CD"
Patricia Barber "Cafe Blue"

Both SQ and SPL recommendations welcome.

For SPL try out almost any dipset song. On jim Jones going to church album has some really strong bass notes that my old subs couldn't play. Then I got my L5's and noticed a new world.

SQ I would say try out Linkin Park's Meteroa CD.

SQ>>
IASCA SQ CD
I ordered the Chesky Demonstration Disc a few days ago
Candlebox
Alice in Chains Unplugged
Bob Marley
Pink Floyd
Maroon 5
Trance Allstars: Worldwide
PVD
Astrix
There's alot more, just can't think of them right now

SPL>>
IASCA SPL CD
Sony Explod SPL CD
MTX SPL CD
Misc. Rap CD's (I don't like rap too much)

I mainly listen to ALOT of techno but I like anything that sounds good as long as it isn't Rap.

Great demo material for SQ, the Fairfield Four, any disc with the track "Them Bones", Paul Simon's "Graceland", Pat Coil's "Steps", Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon", George Michael "Faith", Madonna "Immaculate Collection", Michael Jackson "Thriller".

For SPL, Bass Mechanik Installer's Tool Box", or DJ Magic Mike "Bass, the Final Frontier".

I've noticed that if Rush doesn't sound good on my system, then my system sucks goose ***** period. (Tom Sawyer, Circumstances, Limelight & The Red Barchetta in particular)

Tool/A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Blues Traveler, Blind Melon, 311, Disturbed & The Black Crowes give me a pretty good idea of where my SQ & SPL stand too.

505max94se: Candlebox, I love it! Big Fan!

Bass 305, DJ Magic Mike, Bass Mechanic, Bass Wars, there are a lot of bass cd's that actually carry the label Warning: May Cause Subs To Blow, and pretty much anything from the dirty south.

SQ - Norah Jones (pretty much anything on either of her cds but I especially like Come Away With Me) Kenny G, Boney James (Boneyizm has combo SPL/SQ that's awesome), a lot of modern smooth jazz sounds great for SQ.

Computer speakers play below 20hz???

20hz sounds (or should I say feels) really cool in a car. Althoiugh If your box is ported, the sub might not like really low frequencies (depending on what the port is tuned to).

i find it funny that people are listing sound quality tracks with an abnormally boosted bass track (a la korn, linkin park, etc.).

My personal favorite SQ tracks are as follows:

1) Boston Pops - 1812 Overture
2) Linus and Lucy Theme (trio name escapes me atm)
3) Arturo Sandoval - Sandunga (a-freaking-mazing trumpet solo)
4) Frank Sinatra - New York, New York
5) Tower of Power - What is Hip?
6) Extreme - More than Words

SQ:
Yes - "Leave It" & "Owner of A Lonely Heart"
Evanescence - "Breathe No More"
Bare Naked Ladies - "When I Fall" (Rock Spectacle CD)
DMB - Live at Red Rocks & Listener Supported CDs

SQ & SPL:
Enya - Watermark CD especially "The Long Ships"

to name a few

Chevelle

SPL:
Fugees
Beastie Boys
Bass Mekanic cd
D12
Outkast
..and believe it or not a lot of 50 cent provides plenty of bass, but i cant force myself to listen to too much

SQ/SPL:
Linkin Park
Jurassic 5
