Any experts please!
I got a Sony F7715X head unit in my 03 Max with its subwoofer output going to a Rockford amp. The static noise happens only when listening to radio, CD quality is superb. I've ruled out antenna problems even though the noise may be picked up by it(tried both diversity adapter and an aftermarket antenna). Ruled out the head unit since a different F7715X does the same.
I think I need help with noise coming from the amp through the amp remote wire since when I disconnected the sub out RCAs, no change, and as soon as I disconnect the amp remote wire, it becomes better. I've moved apart the remote wire further away from the amp's GND wire and it seems to improve a bit, but as soon as the car hits the road, all bets are off. I think they are power and ground noises. . . how do I troubleshoot?
