Viper 791XV - Noob Questions

I am thinking of picking one up but I know absolutely nothing about aftermarket alarm systems (i just hear this one is good). So, here are the questions:

1 - do I need to buy any additional equipment to make the auto-start work (I have a '00 I30)?

2 - people w/ this system: what additional upgrades do you recommend (e.g. back up battery, additional sensors?? others??)

Like I said I am a noob when it comes to alarms - so any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

1. Yes, yuo need to get the bypass module and have an extra key you're willing to throw in the module. It is because you have a chip in your key..so the car won't start w/o the key

2. Back up battery is good because if someone disconnects your battery yuor alarm will still go off cause of the back-up battery. EXTRA remote is a good idea too as a backup.

you need a extra KEY THAT WILL START YOUR CAR. It needs to go into the bypass module because you have an immobilizer without the key in the keybox the car will crank and not start.

Category: Immobilizer Bypass
Required: Yes
Type: Transponder
Part#: 556UW
Notes:
Alternates: DesignTech 20402, DesignTech 29402, 555U

You will need the 556uw in order for your remote start to work or any of those alternates
