RCA interconnect cable
RCA interconnect cable
I read in my DLS amplifier instruction booklet that the RCA interconnect cable shouldn't be near the other wires (speaker, power, ground, remote-turn-on), meaning that on one side of the car, there'd be the RCA cable and on the other side all the other stuff. That would be really cramming everything in on one side, while the other side will have a lot of free room. Is this really necessary? I mean I have the Stinger Dream Series interconnect cable (the best), which is double shielded to protect against any signal interference. Your thoughts?

The Dream series isnt "the best" that term is way too subjective to opinion. Although if your referring to the Stinger lineup, then Expert would be "the best", not Dream.

ok cool, thanks. For the DLS amp (100 watts RMS x 2) I'm gonna use a 4 gauge power cable/ground cable, 12 gauge remote-turn-on, the Stinger Dream RCA, and 12 gauge wire for the speakers. The speakers are gonna be DLS UR36S 3-way 6.5" components. The head unit is Eclipse CD3434, and I'm gonna be listening to WAV CDs (not FM radio, as I said before, I've come to my senses haha). How does the setup sound? I'm still debating whether to upgrade to an 8000-series Eclipse HU, for the memory stick option and the fact that I'm sure they have higher signal-to-noise ratios. (the 8000 series have 100 db s/n ratio, what is the ratio for the 3434 anybody know?) I'll have pics when I'm up and running.
