sub issue with new radio

hey i got an apline type x sub in my car and it was loud as hell with my stock bose head unit. i changed to an alpine head unit and drew rca wires from the amp to the back of the head unit and now it has weak power. if i use the old rca wire they drew from the stock sub its loud again. any ideas wat the problem is?

I understand, the amp is just seeing different levels of input from the RCA's between the original wires and your new head unit. You just need to reset the gains to match the new input signal from the HU.

What kind of amp is it. If you have a an alpine amp switch the input from high level/voltage to low level/voltage
