I guess it could have something to do with the h/u itself. When I noticed the problem with current, I was running on a Alpine.

Now I have Eclipse and since then, I have not looked at voltage. Then again, I'm also running about 50 cold cathode tubes

I have 8 in the cabin, but that should not affect voltage in any large capacity as they utilize a highly efficent inverter.

Still working on it...I am going to try and relocate it to fawking inches of the HU. If that does not work, then it might meet my front tire, or a tank of Nitric Acid.

The tubes a pretty brittle, so be careful when handling them. If one happens to break in transit, they are really good with getting a new one out to you for free quickly.
