Any work over the holiday?

My best accomplishment over the last five days off?
Yeah its got to be the new signature
But other than that I finally got my xtant in and wired up. Its an old 403 with the passive rears activated. Looking for the PQM Module now and balanced line cards. Completed the false floor behind the driver and was able to sink the amp, momo xovers, an additional cpu fan in there for cooling that helps vent the warm amp air forward under the seats, and a distro block for grounding

Halfway happy with the finished product and currently bondoing on the driver side kick to finish that up.

other than that alot of sitting and nothing.

Howd yall spend your break?

i see the PQM and balanced line cards on ebay a lot. i have an xtant 3300 but one of the channels just went out. i was thinking about getting it fixed, but i get a remanufactured 403 on ebay for like $120. not sure how much it would cost to get fixed, nor where to take it.

what would you do? get 3300 fixed or just buy a 403?

the 3300 has more power doesnt it? isnt that about the only difference?

Replaced my steering wheel controls yesterday. Replaced my tweeters a month ago. Replaced/repaired my head unit about 6 weeks ago. Today is the first day in over 9 months that everything in my audio system is working 100%!

Tizzle, I have a number if you do decide to have the amplifier fixed, hes reasonable and does EXCEPTIONAL work. Quick turnaround as well and no bs. I personally had to go with what would work for what I was looking to do. I used to have the 603 and this was really a nostalgia purchase, gave up a 6 channel JL for this one . SPECS follow.

Xtant 3300 will output ten more watts per channel (Rated at 2x60 on the stereo channels, with 1x180 on the sub out (4ohm stereo), 2x120 on thee stereo with 1x360 for the two ohm. Monoing the stereo channels will offer you 240 watts)

The 403 offers 2x50 1x100, and 2x100 and 1x200) With the RM 4 module in place it plays my kickpanels with a -4db attenuation, and the doors receive plenty of wattage. The mono channel isnt used at all, and the car is plenty lowd. I was limited on space so i had to go with what would fit in the area i was looking at mounting. Ill get some pics up tommorrow when i finish my reenlistment .

Don,
Yeah I saw that and was like PRICELESS. Im sure someone will post a bigger gem within a couple days though

unrealii,
walk away. Just wen i get everyhing level is when i want to swap a piece and the roller coaster starts all over again. Wife is pissed right now cause im shopping head units... Glad it all worked for you though.

Well I work in retail, and january and february are pretty slow. It's probably going to take me a month and a half just to save up enough for the y-pipe. It desperately needs replaced, so I can't buy anything else in the mean time.

I definitely want the sub and amp before spring, comes, though...

Hit me up when the time comes Don't worry too much about it not being in my possession anymore. I'll let you know if I get interested parties. You just let me know at that time.

Freaken A. I started playing around with the passive xovers for the rear fill. Now my front tweeters work when they feel like. I jiggled the rca cables and I think its that. I'm hoping my 5 minute duct tape repair does the trick. I'm not in the mood to run new rca cabling just because this monster micro xln is so damn fragile.
