95 Bose To replace a 91 Bose

I have a 91 Maxima with the factory Bose head unit with an add on Sony CD player. I'd like to replace it with a later model double DIN unit.

I think I can put in any unit fro 91-94 but I don't know about 95 and newer.

I've been told that there are adapters or connecters that I could use to connect my wiring harnes to a newer Bose head unit.

Can someone confirm that I would need an adapter to connect this head unit from a 95? If I do need an adapter, I'm looking for a source.

I'm also looking for a cheap head unit in good condition must be guaranteed against DOA.

Thanks
mike

Forget about using another Bose unit, go aftermarket. Same amount of headaches (or less), better end result.
