looking for a good amp recommendation
A friend of mine had 2 12" eclipse titanium in a 3 gen an he powered them with 2 eclipse big pigs that was really loud the amps were pulling so much power that when u would turn it up really lous it would turn off his tv deck but u could hear him comeing from at least 12 city blocks away but to what u r wondering u will need a really big amp for them subs i dono if the 15 are rated more then the 12 but with a pig to each one we could pound on them an they didnt blow so i am guesing tou will need something like the MA audio 5000 max i think it is rated at 4600 rms
ok guys, im gonna need an amp recommendation soon also. same sub, but 12".. looking for around 1k watts, what would you suggest? i wanna hear this thing.. I don't think im gonna be able to afford the Arc xxk....maybe a little bit cheaper. I was looking at ED Nine.1, but i heard ED sucks now.. and was thinking about a beefy Hifonics... any suggestions?
anyone?

XXK1500D drive a pair of TDX 12's, pair of PG Ti Elites 12's, pair of Eclipse titanium 12's , pair of Alchemy Rx's 12's and even a pair Arc Flatline 12's over time before we went with a 2500xxk. I was even there when he took out for the first time his Eclipse 7232(supposed 2kw) for the 1500D several years ago and just about matched in output at half the rated power. Output levels more than enough to drain your sinuses and cause hearing loss.
Now I'm not saying its an insane amount of power, I just dont think it should be overlooked. I owned one myself and i've never had a cooler running amplifier, thing barely breaks a sweat. It also has an unusually high level of damping factor as opposed to the avg class d design thanks to a great engineering.
I would say a Zapco 9.0x would be you best bet for best quality power in ONE amp for those subs, but 2 xxk1500's can be had for way less and yield same results.
