Baffle Speakers?

Is it important to use these when replacing door speakers... http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=260-788. Just wondering if there is an issue with water getting in to doors and into the speakers. And would it help accoustically...

So would it then be better to cut the bottom half of the baffle leaving the top half as protection from dripping water or am I being overly paranoid.
