Hahaha. I can't really say who started the whole 3 way trend on this forum but I know Don has one of the better setups........ Of course Manny, your's is just as good but I can't judge who's is better since I haven't heard anything except Don's 3 ways with the Dyn's which sounded good. Even then its all subjective.

I'm hoping to have a nice set of comps in by mid march. Budget will be around $400. Germaniums I'm thinking...

When did you hear Don's system? Was it still with the stock head unit as when I got to hear it or has that been replaced? Were you on drivers or passengers side?

Should hear the difference the 8455 made. In any event, Don is one lazy bish when it comes to tuning his own car...he'll tell you that..

Thats why I asked. Not that I'd go as far as to say ewww, but I know dyns and a nice install/expertise like that could sound a lil better. I haven't stayed up on the progress of his system but though he was putting in the 8455.

Don isn't the first good installer that has told me that they don't enjoy sitting in their car for 4 hours tuning. I'd take that over, say, fiberglassing or wiring anyday, though in order to do that at this point I'd have to understand how in the heck all the functions of my processor work. Yesterday, for the second time, I apparently hit the wrong button and reset everything, have gotten it up and running again but with a noise floor that wasn't there before. Luckily there's someone near me that knows how to work the dang thing and can tune better in 2 hours than I could in 2 weeks.

Can't wait to hear the system....Hopefully a springtime ECA meet, maybe even one not so far from my home for once. Oh, and Manny, start thinking about SVR May 20-21. It's a BIGGIE. Can't wait to hear some of the best SQ systems there. Hopefully Chu will be up for it by then too....

Oh...there's also a little devil over my shoulder telling me to get the car as ready as possible take a few days off work, and hit SBN in March. Thats quite a drive though...prolly wouldn't go through with it.

Both diagrams make me envious...

Now diagrams are great...but when can we see some actual pictures of the installs? Especially you, Don; you haven't updated the cardomain since you sold the Accord. I want to see how this stuff looks in that beautiful G35 of yours!

Steve...we'll see as time approaches...I just locked in on the closing of my new house late April and its tied up all my capital to wrap up my audio expense binging- i was hoping on solving the Source/processing link in my chain soon enough, but between that and new door panels the odds are against me this early in the year. I haven't even registered for an IASCA membership yet..
My wifes and I's anniversary is May24th , so SVR as fun as it sounds isn't realistic...One thing is for sure tho, I'm not giving up on at least getting to a comp or two this year, just hope it pans out one way or another.

In the meantime I have the Lotus 8's to look forward to. Should have'm in the next week or so.

Cool, congrats on the home. There's lots of comps up in New York, but all the way up in Oswego.

Whats in the works for door panels? All new or gonna do some work to the existing ones to get some more transparent grills on there?

Can't wait to hear the Seas setup
