What features does that Pansonic have that make it so great? I'm not trying to mock anybody here, I really just don't see what it has. Thanks.

tube preamp sound, high grade transport, aesthetics, mp3, availability (available in Japan only)-most audiophile heads dont play mp3(ex...denons, naks, drz9255, etc...)
Really cant do much as far as features...its basically a high end transport to benefit from its preamp driving processors via analog..I'll likely pair it with a H701 or Zapco DSP6-SL

Check this subjective review...High End HU Showdown, as its up against a good core of the 'best of the best' out there..

High end HU's ( Denons, MacIntosh as well) only have 2 preouts...these are transports for pure SQ, any flexibility needed would come from external processing.

Denons only have 3v preouts as well, and cost $3500...does that make them 'unimpressive'?

"01 SE speaker

Hey.
I'm new to the site.
Maybe you can help me. I've got an '01 SE. The stereo, (non-Bose) is
okay BUT, the right front speaker isn't working properly. The
door speaker was intermittent but now only the A pillar works on that
side. I'm thinking that maybe it's just a wire at the speaker. Do you
know where I can find instructions on how to remove the door panel and
maybe wiring schematics for the speakers?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Regards, Van in Norwalk

Not a hater at all. The unit is impressive.

Can I sell them regularly? No
Can any Joe shmoe just go out and pick one up? No
Is there a warranty on em? No
Will people typically spend $1000+? Not usually

Answering Yes to those questions would impress me more.
