new rewiring needed?
new rewiring needed?
My aftermarket speakers are currently powered by my eclipse h.u. I want to get a 4 channel amp to power them, but do I need to rewire my speaker wires to the amp or do i only need to plug the rca cables of the amp to the headunit? Sorry, I am somewhat of a newb with electronics. I appreciate any help.
not true..only speaker that would need to be hooked up would be a woofer if that was the case..if he has a aftermarket hu then connect rca from there to amp..the speakers are already wired through harness to radio

No need for apologies, everyone starts somewhere, asking questions is a great way to do so.
Yes wire would need to be run to the speakers, and RCAs from the HU to the amp. ALong with that, power from the battery, ground to chassis and remote turn on from HU to amp.
