I have two 2GB CF cards and that is plenty. I offload them to an ARCHOS AV420 (with a build in CF slot if i really need to but normally I don't (I don't shoot in RAW normally).

I just have a 1gb and 2gb card, haven't ran out of room yet. Recently picked up the 2gb.
I was able to try out this lens (was talking about it earlier) on Sunday

The control you have with raw is worth it's pricetag. I don't see why anyone wouldn't shoot in raw if they have the ability.

you may or may not find this handy (plugin for windows to preview RAW files):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
You can use the included bundled software for editing. Personally, I use Bibble Pro and Adobe Photoshop CS2.
The main advantage with Bibble is speed, but's a lot of money

it will come in great when they are jumping off the couch and you want to catch them mid-air.

I was tempted to buy one today. I was thinking about used, but for the ~$80-100 I'd save, since I'm planning on having it forever I'd rather just buy new . I want a 580EX really badly aswell, I hate cameras

a Very old one...those were taken today, along with about 100 others, just messing around with it. Basically just point and shoot with minimal focusing even.
I could use a new copy though.

i think Shawn should buy me and Don some new lenses
not to mention an extra battery grip and the 580EX flash.
edit: Shawn you ever use Raw Shooter from Pixmantec? it was working fine for me until it suddenly freezes from time to time a few days ago...rather annoying...
