size matters?

my subs require at least 1.5 cubic feet and i think i only have about 1.2, would this make a big difference in overall sound and output.

assuming this is sealed box specis you will be fine...but you will lose some low end. what subs are these, and what amp will be powering them?

I was hoping these are 12's...IMO I would go no smaller than around 1.75-2cuft at the very least. for 15's make the new box...it is worth it. you are really strangling those subs in that tiny box.

well at least 2cuft before displacement. the displacement on these things .30 something. so that will at least be above 1.5. i want to go with about a 5cuft enclosure in all.

if you have the room..go big with these 15's. a 5cuft box is huge though. however, for maximum low end you will be amazed.

Sounds like you are going to be alright with the new box setup.

can't he just go ol' school and stuff the box with poly-fill??

Or didn't that ever really work?

it does...but the effectiveness in this situation would be non-existent. 1.2cuft per sub is about right for 12's...not 15's.
