cool thanks, FTW? Price? Also how would this compare to the alumapro stuff? I know rianbow makes awesome speakers. So how much does this sucker cost?
Also noticed u keep recommending the all-in-one units, are u against getting seperates and putting it together? Thanks Don.

FTW = For The Win

The BP-10 will cost more, but you said you wanted sealed and a 12, nothing ported, nothing smaller.

Oh that wasn't a powered enclosure huh? lol
In terms of ported I as just saying what I read that they are usually more accurate. I also found an article yesterday that said alumapro built the BP box so well that it sounds really good, and u also said it would be good with fast bass and still be accurate right? Also you did say that the 10" will move plenty of air so I trust you. If you think I can get a better quality 10" then Ill definitely go for it...
So this Rainbow sub doesnt have an amp which is the only thing I wil lneed right? and prices?? lol

for the amp and enclosure, youll be at about 460-480ish.

The Alumapro alone will run you low 3 range.

I'd have to say great price 1, but 2 save up and get the right combo right off the bat. For the best stuff at the best prices obviously Don is the man to contact. Save enough to spend about $1000 and you'll be golden for bass and probably some decent comps.

Although I would still throw this enclosure out there, excellent SQ orientated design.

$1000 just for bass? lol nismos jew crazy lol. Don so the Alumapro is actually going ot be cheaper? Als I can't seem to find ANY info on here or anywhere else on the specific rainbow sub... How would you say this thing compares to the DLS you recommended earlier and the Alumapro? Also the Image Dynamics subs that are recommended in the faq? Also its wierd that noone on the org seems to have that setup, but I trust you. And that pice is installed right? And do you think this thing would be able to "compete" with some more expensive subs? Like is it a good buy for the money? Also its wierd that noone on the org seems to have that setup, but I trust you.

Guys I would probably spend the $ for the comps and everything I could prolly save up if I try real hard, but the hting is Im going to be going away to professional school shortly so I will no time to hardly do anything for 4 years. And when I get out thats when Ill spend some serious $$ with no one other than the man, Don!

First off, he said with components and ampS.

No the Alumapro is Not cheaper I told you the setup pictured about was about high 400s. The Alumapro Alone NO AMP is in about 300. The amp pictured about is hardly $160ish

People on here dont exactly all have "budget" systems.

And ummm more expensive stuff? Im guessing you havent checked Rainbow yet. The comps that I run are in the $1900 range, thats for an active set, to include the passive crossovers your going into $3K range. Theyre also not their most expensive set either.

Diamond Audio is also not one to be considered "cheap". Especially considering they include a lifetime warranty.

Holy #$%@#$ Wow. Lol that is so funny this is peanuts Im spending now. I have GOT to listen to your system when I come!
so the price you quoted would that be installed? Also do you think I should spend a little more for the Alumapro or would I not notice a significant difference between this Rainbow and the Alumapro? And also how would either of these ocmpar to the DLS you suggested earlier.

Hahahahaha. I spent WELL ove 1K just for bass. And don't plan on cutting back anytime soon.......If you want to include all of the deadener, just for the rear of the car, I am well over 2K. I don't think I am the only crazy one around these parts either.

No thats the price for the products, you said you would stretch a bit if you had to, so labor and wiring will run you up a bit higher.

I like em all, hence the reason I suggested them. Although the Alumapro is going to up your budget. You wanted a 12" sealed with more power, there it is...

Your comparing apples to oranges with the BP10 compared to the Rainbow. Rainbow your PROBABLY looking at better sound quality, but with the BP10 it should be pretty accurate but more SPL oriented, at least thats what I remember from when I heard it.

The DLS in the 12 inch version should be similar to the Rainbow with the diamond amp.

With the Rainbow/Diamond setup its exactly what you asked for..sealed 12" with decent power (600W).

Unless youd prefer...

The BP10 is a monster, but the Rainbow would own it in SQ.

The Ranbow with DA600.1 would be bit louder than the DLS..

Don... I think the less options you give him the better, he's going to ask more q's about everything you add to the list. Regardless of which option he choses, he's most likely going to be VERY satsified.

Gotcha. So Don you think this thing will last me for a while? Even If I decide to upgrade to decent components for the front later on, I wouldnt have to worry about a sub right? Also whats the waranty on the sub like, since you said that this the most likely part to blow.
And how much would your labor and wiring be? Do you think maybe I should buy the wiring from ebay or something to save some $? Or not really? lol sorry had to ask.

Also when IA sked for bigger and more power, this is just my intuition, I mean I know nothing about these things, so if you think that the DLS or something is going to be better... Also please pm me ur install price or post it here whatever you prefer. Thanks man.

damn you guys are fast. Lol Don its good to tell me, I would reall ylike to know what Im getting in case someone asks me lol.

Rainbow speaker = FIVE YEAR warranty. You will not feel the need to upgrade.

I think this will be an ideal setup for you. Installation and wiring will run you about $100. Grand total would be mid to high 5 range.

Sounds like thats right in your budget, and how can you beat handmade quality plus a friggin 5 yr warranty? I already have a sub and I think I just sold myself on something like this.

Gotta agree with the pervious post, considering anything in that price range will pale in comparison if bought somewhere else, and will probably incorporate crappier components. On top of that you get 110% excellence in customer service and knowledge from Don.

blah lol mid 5s is perfect lol. So what's the grand total? And you would also tune it nicely right and adjust the gain so it sounds good?

Also will there be any way for to adjust the bass on it from the front of the car like while Im driving in case I need to turn it ddown or up on certain songs. Or would you be able to set it up so that it is controlled from the bass option in the HU? Is it even possible to control the gain on the sub lke that?

Yes it has a remote gain. Yes it will be tuned.

No sub outs on the HU but the bass adjustment will affect the sub as well. Best bet is to ditch the Bose , but of course budget does not permit.
