Alright, something doesn't add up. I've installed tons of radios in maxima/pathfinders/frontiers using the Metra kit and have never had a gap. You used the 7417 kit?? and have a 4th gen?

Go buy a Metra 997417 kit, under 20 dollars...follow directions and boom, no more gap. BTW, can be bought at circuit city
