Pioneer is large enough to take a few hits. The smaller companies are the ones that should be on top of everything, thats how they stay in business. Unfortunately I wish I was on top of everything as I should be, but theres only one of me and so many hours in the day.

Well at this point its about it looking clean and purty since it will be showing- a thicker wire is easier to maneuver and looks diesel....as opposed to thin speaker wire flapping over in suck a nice box/rack. Whatever you feel it would look best. Wire/Connections above the sub should be a no brainer to protect'm against the everyday stuff..

alrighty...here are some more pics my friend snapped. spent a few hours finishing up the trunk. the pics doesn't really do the actual appearance justice. the carpet looks way different in terms of color in the pictures, but it's actually pretty similar when you see it in person. i'll try to take some better pics in the sunlight (it was pretty cloudy today).

another test fit of all the stuff in place.

Mmmmm....

from a side angle.

more pics to come! i love how it ended up looking. the arc amps look very nice in contrast to the carpet.

Looks sweet as hell. Great job.

No grill, definitely. But if you get one, make sure its the steel rod kind, like the Rainbow hammer, or the W7

That looks really good. Personally I would try to put some kind of protection over it, even a metal bar or two across it would be good. I have big uncovered studio monitors for recording in my room and sometimes people try to touch them, scares the crap out of me, expecially the tweeters.

thanks for the comments fellas

i don't like the look of a grill since it does kind of ruin the clean look like you guys said. but that cone is so damn soft, anything that hits it can leave a dent.

if i do get one, it's going to be this one:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=260-444

then have it mounted vertically to match the lines on the Arcs.

very nice set up. I think it is very clean. Hey I to say no grill but I understand why one might be needed. You use your trunk. I would try to find one that does not stick out so far and one that is not chrome to keep with the look that you have. None the less great job. Way to rep the midwest

tried to make the metra dash kit fit better today, but there is still a tiny gap between the kit and the dash.

now its the waiting game for my front components...

If you get a grill, which I recommend, either get 2 PE grills and mount one vertical and the other horzontal, or get the DLS grill. IMO the purpose of a grill is to protect. I know you have a nice aesthetically pleasing setup but with that sealed box+1k of power+hardly any trunk space= something will ding up that already dimpled cone.

Looking good bro.. i might even get you to make mine.. lol.. I live in Dallas so we are not to far apart.. and we both a frost 6th gen!!! Sweet!.. I have only a JL Audio 500/1 Monoblock, that i bought at TexasHeatWave that i was going to put in my truck, but sold my truck, so now i need some info on what to do next.. Here is what i plan. Either the Pioneer AVIC-N2 or N1, but want the new Z1 (check my sig for a clip on this BAD BABY!!), and want to sitch out my non-bose system with some good speakers (coxial / component???) I am new to this audio stuff, but have a great site for DO IT YOURSELF FIBERGLASSING (( http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/ )) Great site!! I have always wanted to do this myself, and looks really easy...Well easy enough for me to do.. I would like to know what are the best type of speakers to switch out with my stockers, and what i should ask for as in quality. Price is important, but want a better bang for the buck... Hopefully you can help me out here bro... Thanks..

well i dont want to spend over 2-300 for them (subs), if i get 2 (what?) 12"?? or one 15"... Oh, and for speakers>>> ummm just give me some prices and quality set-ups, just dont go over like 800 or so, more in the 3-500 range.. Just to comare them, very high end to mid end/but great quality... Again dont now too much about coxial vs componant, though know the difference in home audio which coxial/fiber-optic is better than componant... Again i have one JL Audio 500/1 monoblock 1000W peak. Do i need to get one more(500/1) for the other sub if i get 2? Again sorry for asking dumb qestions, i just want to know what my best set-up will be and any help is greatly appreciated.. Thanks...

yeah, Don can help you out in that speaker area. those stuff he listed are much better than the mainstream RF stuff. i ran 3 different RF subs before i ventured into other brands.

Sweet bro... What do you recomend>> I really like to know first about the interior speaker replacement for my non-bose.... I think there are 6 right, total i believe in the non-bose too right? I think to tweeters in the upper front door section, then two in the front doors, rear door??, and i know 2 in the rear below the rear glass.. I have the NDSS or something like that system, which i believe is stock.. Thanks for the links ill look them up, but still would like a pro's opinion... Thanks guys and for being patient with my questions...

it's sealed. the port above the sub cutout is there to help vent the bass into the cabin since the panel is such a snug fit. plus it gives the look of a ported box.

That came out real nice. Not much left in terms of cargo space, but I guess that's to be expected with a sub that size. Enjoy it!

snapped a pic of the HU and the metra kit. you can see it doesn't really match the rest of the dash. also snapped a better pic of the trunk.
