Everyone tells me it's bad to push down on the cone of a speaker but I think it's ok as long as it's linear when you push down on it (push from the center) and as long as it's me pushing on the cone of my own speakers. I get upset if someone else even touches one of my speakers. LOL!

Hope it's kept in Jersey like around Rutgers and not over in NY, and hope it's after my school's spring break in mid April so I've had time to do some work, oh andnot the weekend of SVR. Can't wait to hear them 8's and the whole new setup. At least this year i'll have a two seater car! I had a great time at that last meet. Like we had a goal of, I bet ours this year will have much better systems. Lets get the thread going on ECA!

You got the Alpine Processing yet? I'm sure they'll sound awesome. My IDQ 8's are prolly my systems weakpoints now, but only cause my door panels can't contain them.

I got an H700 in the works Steve...if/when it falls through is kinda out of my hands. But yeah that would be the finishing touch for this year. That would just leave my tweeter relocation and and trunk bezel as last things on the
to-do list.

I think you and Don just have an ongoing competition to see who can keep the most up-to-date stuff in his car. Don obviously wins, but not by much, and he's the dealer!

weird nothing in my car is up to date...i just try to make exquisite choices based on reputation...my HU was introduced years ago, these midbasses were once available ~2001, my midranges are home pro audio domes...my amps are several years old, the subs well I just love their SQ and transparency...I'm just nitpicking my way to a dream SQ system for myself.

If you want to listen to the latest, you need to listen to Don's car as its changes with the times. And always has nice stuff in there.

Yeah, I heard it yesterday for the first time, and I was quite blown away. And he says he still has to tune it!

My dear Morel H8.1's are for sale... @ 50% off what I paid for'm, they are still mint, light use..

They are super shallow and are probably the easiest 8's you could ever mount in a door given their shallow, forgiving basket and 2.7" depth

Those that have heard these know they are NO JOKE

How'd those morels sound? Looking for SQ 8's to put on the rear deck of my 05 either as IB or a very tiny sealed box.

Their SQ is very nice, great warm Morel sound.
Well they are full range raw drivers....however i'm sure in the right enclosure you can get'm to put out some bass. Their Frq range is 35-4000hz, being a low Qts driver they will perform great in ported/vented application as well-which is what i would do if i were to use them for sub purposes.
