Box question for you guys

Yes i'am a nub when it comes to subs, i've had a couple but nothing worth speaking of. I need to know if stuffing my box will help it sound a little deeper? I read that it "slows the sound waves" and makes the subs sound as if they were in a larger box. My box is small Q-logic type 1, only 0.65 cubic feet per sub.. My subs say 0.6-1.25 cubic feet per... I used to have a 1.25 box but it was huge! So would it be worth trying?? Any ideas.. Sounds great now but maybe it could sound better..

Alpine 10"s with punch 400 amp wired 2ohm is what I got, nothing fancy

Yes, stuff your box with polyfill to get a bit of a lower sound.

from owning 10s in the past, .65 is really choking your output. it's nice and punchy though, but if you want some deeper bass, i'd get something from .75 to 1.0 cu ft.

but again, my opinion/preference. if you like how it sounds now then no worries.

Using Polyfill will help minimize midbass resonances, but keep this in mind too that by polyfill in a sub box, it will artificially make the box act larger than it is, which will improve the deep bass response.

I would add a little at a time. Sometimes the manufacturer or distributor will tell you how much to use, check with them first. If the box is ported only line one side of it (about 1") with the Poly, if not spread it out evenly.

Use your ears as the judge, because if you added too much, the box will sound too big for the speakers and sound like cr@p!

Hope this helps and good luck!

Well I added the poly fill today and I have to say that it did help the deeper bass. I just packed the rear of the box full and left air space for the woofers and room along the top, seems to have responded much better than expected. I'am not a big bass head and happy with my system so i'll just stick with the box i got. I recommend trying this to anyone with a small box as it will really help out your low end bass responce.... Thanks guys for the advice!!
