Ive always liked Stinger...for both wire and wire accessories like that. But they all do the same thing until you get into the fancy ones with voltage/amperage displays etc.

Ok I admit it's not the most economically wise, but I love my Stinger SHDA4. Last dist block I should ever need, with blingy voltage and amperage readouts for each amp! I love it though! Eventually will get the matching battery terminals. How many amps are you running? What size wire?

I have a standard Knukonceptz one. Works fine, no voltage loss, cheap

When it comes to distribution, metal is metal, whatever conducts, works.

Yeah I'll agree with that too. If you're on a budget and need a "commonly made" sized dist-block, get something cheap. I really do like the Stinger if you wanna drop a little extra coin though and have something that looks cool.

I'm even thinking of just using a coupler, or, eff it, just solder the 0 to the 4/8

I second this. I had very basic Stinger blocks when I had 4 AWG wire. I thought about buying larger ones when I upgraded to 1/0, but Don suggested just using a coupler instead. Stinger actually calls them barrel splices, so I guess that's the techincal name, but this is what they look like:

Definitely the cheapest, easiest, and probably quickest way to join the wires. I have one 1/0 going into one side and two 4 AWG going in the other. Obviously make sure you use the included sleeve and a bunch of extra electrical tape, because if you're using the coupler for the pos. and it touches the body/chassis..... you =

Also, if you're even considering going 1/0, do it now and save yourself the hassle later. Upgrading wire isn't fun and it's not something you should be doing twice. You'll probably save money in the end if you just get the big stuff now.

EDIT: Sorry, I must've missed where you said "i'm running 4 awg right now"..... So you're already where I was a few weeks ago when I finally said F it and went for the 1/0. But make sure if you get 1/0 that you do the Big 3 upgrade also. Otherwise, you're wasting your money as the stock Maxima wire is only 4 awg (IIRC). Or at least upgrade the battery to ground wire.

Good luck!
