why do the fuses keep blowing?

why do the fuses keep blowing?

My friend has (2) 2 channel kenwood amps hooked up to (2) type r's. On one of the amps the two 30a fuses keep blowing. What could be causing this?

could be a short somewhere. trace all the lines to see if they're secured. also check if the speaker wires themselves are touching each other (inside and outside the box).

Did this JUST happen all of a sudden, after an install, or did you wire the subs differently? Definitely start with AscendantMax's idea though, could possibly be something that simply

I chnaged the power wires with the amp that was working and it still blows so it must be a problem with the amp right?

also check to make sure the subs arent wired in a ohm the amp cant handle.
