lol... sorry guys I just had to rant last night, guess it just hit me wrong at the time.. I read that the comps have a 2-week break in period due to the "stiff suspension" or sumthin.. is that true? my box is nothing special, just a q-logic type-3 comes with ports as u know..

Would u recommend porting right from the install then, or should i just leave em sealed? also read they handle less watts if there ported, what's the deal with that? Again i apologize for ranting

nismos if you were refering to a subsonic filter, im not sure if my amp has this or not? guess i better find out before i port then right? i have a RF 400s about 3or 4 yrs old..

I would not suggest porting with that amp. There is no ssf on it. Maybe find an in-line ssf that you can put on the wiring to each sub or something but your going to risk damage.

BTW how much did you spend on this setup?

thanks nismos that's what i was thinking, i don't want to cause any damage..

I gave $250 for the comps brand new with a year warranty and about $50 for the enclosure... Maybe could have got a better deal, but i always had great cust. service and products from crutchfield.. btw i'm selling my old setup for about $125 since it's still new

i was waiting for someone to say this. ask steve or matt at ID..they'll tell you wakeside is authorized (screw SD). wakeside is in the marine audio industry thats why they're not really listed on IDs site.

rich, i heard that they weren't rejected by eDuh. in any case, ben milne's a douche so i don't care for his opinion anyway.

sorry for goin off topic..have fun w/ your kickers. i liked my L5s when i had em

nah that's ok, seems no matter what i get someone will always say "dude you can get something better than that" so it don't matter.. I'm happy with my warranty and the cust. service.. but thanks for the recommendation anyway.. I will be happy with my kicker's, and that's all that matters right? I'll just have to take the abuse from u guys...j/k
