Need new Alternator, which one?

My brake and battery lights just went on tonight, ran some searches and it looks like it's the alternator.

Many have been getting issues with the cheap remanufactured alternators so I'm curious about what's out there for audio specific models. Don't want anything top of the line, just peace of mind for my average ~1500w system. Maybe I'd be content sticking with a stock Nissan OEM too, who knows?

Also any tips on how to change it would be appreciated. Normally I'd pay out the yinyang twins but money's tight right now, actually it's always tight.

Get one from pepboys/autozone with a warranty...

unless you want to go high output, then get an ohio generator.

that sounds like what I need after all. Can I ask where you got yours?

Pinnacle Nissan online sells the oem ones but don't give an amp rating. :\ We can put 5th+ gen alternators in our 4th gens right?

I heard good things on eBay alternators from the store Named IraggiAlternators. Here's the Link Click Here Now They even offer a warrantee for a little fee.
