simple newbie question on wiring 2 amps

This question is probably common sense to most audio guys but I wasn't sure. I just ordered a complete stereo system for my car (HU, speakers, subs, amps).
I've installed a single amp setup in my old car for my sub, but have never installed 2 seperate amps.

I will be installing a 4 channel amp and a 2 channel amp to run the subs. My question is if I can just run 1 power cable from the battery to one of the amps then just run another cable between the power input terminals on the 2 amps. I would just run a seperate ground wire for each amp. From what I know about electricity that would be a parallel setup and should work. But I thought I would ask for clarification. Also could I just run the same setup for the remote wires as well. I want to try to run as few wires for the amps as possible.

Thanks

You should use a distribution block. You could run it the way you suggested but its better to use a distribution block to seperate the wiring.
