Adding Subs

Hey guys and gals...thinking about adding one or maybe two Alpine 12" Type-Rs into my 2002 maxima and wondering if there are any noticable performance declines from adding subs....do they make your car slower because they drain so much power?? thanks! Pretty sure this is a stupid and noobish question but o well..

The only difference you would feel is from extra weight, not from power.

Depends on if you plan on going to the track or not. For everyday use the weight should not be an issue.

Performance? NO, only the weight issue like they said... My box with 2 ten's weigh's close to 80-85lbs with everything installed.. but with only daily driving it's not an issue

haha my 15" sub box weighs 60lbs total...and the sub weighs 39 lbs. lose weight if you are concerned with performance or stop driving around fat chicks.

yepyep. weight is the only issue, my titanium in the box has to weigh in at ~55-60lbs.. it sucks. but thats why i only use 1 sub. if i was to ever have an SUV, id consider 2..
